EXTENSION FOR THE TEST

Wind blower for the outside area
The test chamber, in which the atmospheric conditions are simulated, is equipped with a wind blower. The wind blower simulates wind speeds of up to 50km/h. The air is routed straight to the head lamps via an internal duct.

Technical Data

  • Wind velocity from 25 to 50km/h equals 7 to 14m/s adjustable, related to a cross section of W x H = 660 x 400mm
  • Blower performance max. Approx. 13.500m³/h

Rain sprinkler unit for the outside area
The outside area is equipped with a sprinkler unit for rain simulation. Rain is simulated within a temperature range of +10°C to +35°C by means of two adjustable, full-cone nozzles made of stainless steel. These nozzles can be aimed straight at the test specimen. As rain is being simulated, the temperature control and test space fan automatically switch to standby mode. The water volume can be precisely controlled via a regulating valve. The sprinkler unit is activated and deactivated via a digital switching channel. To prevent ice forming after rain has been simulated, pipes and nozzles are automatically dried by compressed air. The test chamber is equipped with a separate compressed air connection for this purpose.

Under pressure unit for the inside area
The airstream occurring during a car journey causes a build-up of under pressure in the engine compartment. To be able to simulate this process in our head lamp test equipment, the inside area can be equipped with a under pressure unit. A fan unit sucks the air straight out of the test space. The under pressure unit can be flexibly activated and deactivated by a soft key.

Technical Data

  • Under pressure max. 10mbar (factory setting, value not measured or controlled)
  • Temperature range can be used within a temperature range >10°C
  • Mode discontinuous mode.

Extension with sunlight simulation
The Vötsch head lamp test equipment can optionally be fitted with a type MHG radiation unit for simulating sunlight.
Radiation occurs via a ceiling glazing from borosilicate glass. This extension is fitted into the intermediate part.

Technical Data

  • Test surface approx. 400 x 400mm with vertical radiation
  • Radiation type 1 unit, 1.2kW metal halide lamp
  • Radiation strength 800 to 1200W/m² relative to the test surface, continuously adjustable
  • Uniformity ±5% relative to the test surface
  • Spectral radiation global radiation 280 up distribution to of 3000nm, recommended for aging tests.
